Roller ball pens use a small rotating ball to deposit liquid ink on paper. Since it takes longer for them to dry than other pen, smudging may occur more easily; making rollerballs ideal for left-handed writers.
They offer an unmistakable look and feel, from vibrant designs to more subdued options for professional settings.

LAMY 2000
Lamy has once again proven their skill with their 2000 range by creating an iconic pen that stands alone in its class. Its sleek, modern design stands as testament to Lamy craftsmanship – competing easily against those costing far more.
Gerd Muller employed functionalist principles when designing this pen. Rather than computer-generated designs, he relied upon wood and plaster models – an approach still used today by Lamy.
This pen’s body and section are constructed out of Lexan polycarbonate resin – light yet sturdy with tactile qualities, Lexan is perfect for everyday use and may acquire its own individual character over time. Plus it adds character!
The brushed finish on the stainless steel grip and makrolon body looks great, giving the pistol an air of sophistication. Unfortunately, however, its highly reflective surface catches light beautifully – which may make for poor photographic results.
Faber-Castell NEO Slim
The Faber-Castell NEO Slim pen is a modern pen featuring an attractive blacked-out aesthetic and narrow breadth body, featuring a stainless steel nib with minimal branding and featuring an integrated pocket clip for convenient carrying.
My only issue with this pen was its nib, which wasn’t properly calibrated from the factory and was slightly misalign. Although this wasn’t a deal-breaker, it did reduce writing experience.
The pen comes packaged in a thin white box featuring an image of the suspension bridge as well as Faber-Castell logo and “Since 1761.” Inside is a rectangular tray which easily slides out to reveal a plastic sleeve which securely holds it within. This packaging makes carrying it around easy while its compact size makes it suitable for gift giving purposes.

YSTUDIO Brassing
The Ystudio Brassing pen is sure to grab everyone’s attention for its striking, one-of-a-kind appearance. Combining desk pen mechanics with those found on brass fountain pens, its striking combination combines desk pen mechanics with those found in brass fountain pens; its knock mechanism includes an exposed brass cylinder attached to another hexagonal piece which upholds its nib. Furthermore, this stylish piece comes equipped with both a wooden pen case and leather cords making it convenient to transport around.
The brass body of this pen feels substantial but remains comfortable to use in your hand. The black paint will gradually wear away over time exposing its beautiful brass beneath (a process known as “brassing”). Additionally, you will receive a sheet of sandpaper in your package to facilitate and accelerate this process and customize its appearance further. With its elegant hexagon barrel design and stylish appearance, this makes an excellent daily writing instrument.
